“What makes businesses successful is to first understand the rules of the game. Government contracting can be a lucrative business venture. However, large businesses must learn to develop strong teaming relationships with small businesses. Alternatively, small businesses must understand what it takes to be competitive in federal contracting. An 8(a) or HUBZone status alone does not guarantee contracts. Lastly, the key to success is having the right team around you that knows what it takes to be a successful bidder and what the government wants.”
